A new accreditation program launched in the UK will assess research sites on a variety of measures: patient engagement, clinical trial feasibility, study startup, study initiation, study management and operations, study close-down, workforce quality and R&D commercial strategy.

The Global Clinical Site Accreditation (GCSA) program, a collaboration between Future Shaping Holdings, the parent company of the International Accrediting Organization for Clinical Research, and Develop Consulting, experts in process improvement in the UK’s National Health Service, aims to be an industry-leading standard that uses an evidence-based approach to help sites improve the sponsor and patient experience.
