ClearTrial Appoints New COO

ClearTrial, a provider of clinical trial software, appointed Michael Bruns as the company’s new chief operating officer. Bruns will oversee ClearTrial’s global operations and help further develop and implement the company’s growth strategy. Prior to joining ClearTrial, Bruns was director of the Technology Investment Banking Group at Robert W. Baird, a global investment banking firm.

Other personnel news from the clinical trial industry:

Chinese CRO WuXi expanded its senior leadership with the appointment of three new executives. Brian Xu is vice president of toxicology and head of the Safety Evaluation Center at Suzhou; Yang-Dar Yuan is vice president of operations and head of pathology of the Safety Evaluation Center, and Robert Coldreck is head of Good Laboratory Practice Quality Assurance.

UK-based site management organization Synexus hired three new managers. Noreen Younis is the new feasibility manager with responsibility for the preparation of detailed feasibility analysis for each clinical trial that Synexus is invited to tender for. Joanne Lee is the contact center manager handling all call center activity. Liz Smith takes on the new role of patient outreach manager and will oversee all patient enrollment programs.

etrials appointed E. James Emerson, Ph.D., vice president of technology and development. Emerson served as a consultant for the eClinical company before joining full-time. He previously has served as head of technology for several companies.
