Covance Opens New Offices in Brazil and Mexico
September 25, 2009
Covance opened new clinical development offices in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and Mexico City, Mexico to further expand the contract research organization’s (CRO’s) services in Latin America and increase access to patients, the company said.
The new offices will support Covance staff in Central America and the Caribbean, as well as Covance’s Santiago, Chile; and Lima, Peru; offices, which opened earlier this year.
The company has provided clinical trial support in Latin America since 1997 with the first office in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"Our continued expansion in Latin America highlights the region's growing significance in Covance's clinical development service offerings. These new offices increase our access to patients who are currently not receiving medical therapies and will enable us to shorten clinical trial cycle times for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients," said Covance’s vice president and general manager of global clinical development services Wayne Langlois in a statement.
