Verenium, which develops and commercializes high-performance industrial enzyme solutions, has announced a series of changes within its senior management team.

Carlos Riva, currently director, president and chief executive officer, will retire. He will continue as a consultant.

James Levine, currently executive vice president and chief financial officer, will become president and CEO. He also will join the company's board of directors.

Jeffrey Black, currently senior vice president and chief accounting officer, will become chief financial officer.
