Anadys Pharmaceuticals has appointed Barry A. Labinger to its board of directors. Labinger is executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Human Genome Sciences.

Labinger has more than 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining HGS, Labinger was division vice president of 3M Pharmaceuticals. Before that he was senior vice president and general manager, commercial operations, at Immunex.
