Astellas Pharma Europe, the European subsidiary of Tokyo-based Astellas Pharma, has appointed Ken Jones as its president and CEO.  Jones was formerly COO at Astellas Pharma Europe.

Jones joined the company in January 2003 as vice president, European marketing. In 2005, he was promoted to senior vice president, sales, marketing and medical. Previously, Jones spent 16 years with Allergan, holding senior international marketing positions across the U.S., Europe and Japan. His career began as a management associate with SmithKline Beckman.
