SeraCare Life Sciences, a global life sciences company providing products and services to facilitate the discovery, development and production of human diagnostics and therapeutics, has elected Joseph Nemmers and Kevin Hrusovsky to its board of directors. Nemmers has been appointed to chairman of the board.

Nemmers brings executive level experience in in vitro diagnostic, pharmaceutical and medical device operations. He retired from Abbott Laboratories in 2007 after 27 years of service. His most recent position with Abbott was executive vice president Nemmers maintains a consulting practice serving the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.  

Hrusovsky has been a director and in leadership positions of other publicly held companies, particularly in the life sciences industry.  He also has experience with turnarounds, commercialization, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hrusovsky currently serves as president, chief executive officer and director of Caliper Life Sciences.
