Pennsylvania-based Siemens Healthcare has appointed Gregory Sorensen, MD, as chief executive officer of its U.S. division.  Sorensen will also oversee the Canadian activities of Siemens Healthcare.

Sorensen is currently serving as professor of radiology and health sciences & technology at Harvard Medical School.  He is also a faculty member of the Harvard-MIT division of health sciences and technology; and co-director of the A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital.
