Omthera Pharmaceuticals reports that Ramona M. Lloyd has joined the company as vice president regulatory affairs, effective immediately.  In this newly created position, Dr. Lloyd will be responsible for the management of all regulatory activities, including regulatory strategy and interactions with the FDA.

Dr. Lloyd previously served as vice president, regulatory affairs for Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company. Dr. Lloyd also held positions at Imclone Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly, including, interim senior vice president, global regulatory affairs and drug safety as well as vice president, regulatory affairs-late development.
