Innova Partnerships, a Scottish life sciences partnering and investment company, has opened of its first U.S. venture in Northborough, Mass., to enable the company to play a key role in the internationalization of life science companies in Scotland.

“This is a very exciting development and a significant step forward for our business,” said Dr. Steve Howell, CEO and founder of Innova Partnerships. “Our strong expertise in intellectual property and regulatory compliance also means the company is perfectly positioned to offer a conduit to E.U. markets for expanding U.S. life science companies.”

Founded in 2006, the company has a strong track record for providing investment and expert consulting services, in addition to placing key executives into fledgling life science companies. Innova Partnerships professionals have a combined experience of 150 years working with companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Alere, Nypro Med Division, Unilever, and numerous startups and university spin outs.

The company has since evolved to offer complete and fully integrated support services for life science companies at all stages of their development extending its customer base beyond the U.K. Innova Partnerships has now set its sights on the U.S., leveraging existing relationships and collaborations to open an office in the Boston area.

“We have a great opportunity to work with European life science companies seeking to access the U.S. and North American market and can now provide a link for U.S. companies considering business in Europe,” said Lou Gaviglia, Innova Partnerships’ newly appointed U.S. president.
