Forte Research Systems, a developer of clinical research management software, has launched its electronic data capture (EDC) system. Overture EDC is for researchers in the academic setting that need a system to handle complex clinical research protocols.
“We knew that many researchers were making the move from paper to EDC, but were having challenges finding systems with the right features at the right price,” said Srini Kalluri, founder, president, chief executive officer and chief customer officer at Forte Research Systems.
Forte has over a dozen years of experience developing software for clinical research sites that have collectively used these systems to manage over 20,000 clinical trials, and has designed an EDC system that draws on the insights of its customer community. Features include hosted software available to license on a per-trial basis and drag-and-drop functionality.
“With Overture EDC, research staff can set up electronic case report forms in a matter of hours, without needing to know any programming language. This puts the focus back on the trial instead of on the technology to support it,” said Kalluri.
