CRO Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) has appointed David Johnston, Ph.D., executive vice president of global laboratory services. Johnston directs PPD’s comprehensive laboratory services, including bioanalytical, vaccines and biologics, current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) and central laboratories.

Previously, Johnston was senior vice president and global head of the clinical trials business at LabCorp.
