Cyberonics names Rohan J. Hoare senior vice president, strategic planning

Cyberonics, a medical technology company, has hired Rohan J. Hoare, Ph.D., as senior vice president, strategic planning. Hoare will lead business strategy development and execution and functional capability building within Cyberonics.
Previously, Hoare was the president of St. Jude’s neuromodulation division, which designs, manufactures and sells neuromodulation devices for the treatment of chronic pain, movement disorders and chronic migraine headache. In his nine years with St. Jude, he held leadership roles in strategy, therapy development and R&D, where he was responsible for developing and launching products and therapies. He began his career with McKinsey, a strategy consulting firm, where he served clients in high tech, med tech and healthcare payor and providers for nearly a decade.
