PharmaPros is now eClinical Insights

PharmaPros, a provider of integrated technology and services for clinical trials, has changed its name to eClinical Insights, to reflect its recent business transition from a technology-enabled services organization to a SaaS-based software firm focused on helping pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies and CROs improve the performance of their clinical trials.

“The transition into eClinical Insights has been a natural evolution, and has coincided with industry trends. After a decade of running clinical trials for customers, we had a unique vantage point from which to develop software that enabled real-time collaboration and process improvement,” said Peg Regan, president and CEO of eClinical Insights. “Recognizing the impact of global expansion, increased outsourcing and continued adoption of electronic data capture technologies was having on trial visibility, we saw an opportunity to address these challenges through a technology platform that delivers process automation, data visualization and business analytics through the cloud.”

After early success with flagship product Dataflow Manager, the company continued to make significant R&D investments and worked with customers including Biogen Idec and Harvard Clinical Research Institute to greatly expand its data integration, workflow automation and business analytics capabilities. The result is an integrated technology platform that enables proactive management of clinical trials across disparate teams, vendors and clinical systems, and optimizes collaboration between sponsors and CROs.

“The outsourced clinical trials landscape has significantly reduced the sponsor company's control over the performance of their trials. CROs are being asked to provide metrics, KPIs and trending on trial progress,” said Regan. “Our technology empowers CROs to deliver this information in real-time, and provides sponsor companies the ability to make critical business decisions using the most current and accurate information possible."
