NAMSA, a U.S.-based global medical research organization, has acquired Medvance, a Yorkshire, England-based CRO specializing in medical devices, in-vitro diagnostics and combination products. 

Janette Benaddi, Medvance’s CEO, said, “Medvance will benefit from NAMSA’s experience in biostatistics as well as their material scientists and biocompatibility experts.”

Gerald Turner, FOCUS managing director, a national middle market investment banking firm providing merger, acquisition, divestiture and corporate finance services, said, “This transaction is part of a secular trend toward international combination in the CRO market.”
