KCR, a European CRO, has launched KCR Date Forecaster, a mobile application providing patients with smart scheduling and automatic reminders for doctor appointments and medical examinations.

KCR Date Forecaster is a tool for patients involved in clinical trials or undergoing medical treatment. The app allows patients to calculate the date of their next visit and send a reminder before the appointment. Users also may add their doctors’ names and check-up precautions.

“KCR corporate social responsibility commitment has inspired us to develop a practical tool for patients who participate in clinical trials. Tapping into the potential of the smartphones’ era, KCR offers a simple app, which is combining functionalities of a notebook and reminder device at the same time. It makes handling doctor’s appointments extremely simple,” said Mike Jagielski, president and CEO of KCR.

KCR Date Forecaster includes holiday calculators for 38 countries to suit the needs of patients worldwide and prevent appointments on holidays and weekends.

“Being a patient in clinical trials includes keeping track of numerous appointments, dozens of medical records and plethora of procedures. We do believe KCR Date Forecaster will be of considerable help for patients who want to efficiently handle their calendars’, and therefore support investigators by improved patient retention,” said Jagielski.

The new application is designed for iOS platform and available for iPhone and iPad.
