Dedicated Computing joins the Intel Cluster Ready program

Dedicated Computing, a Waukesha, Wis.-based global technology company, is participating in the Intel Cluster Ready program to deliver integrated high-performance computing (HPC) cluster solutions to the life sciences market. Powered by Intel Xeon processors, Dedicated Computing is offering a family of purpose-built analytics and storage clusters for use in bioinformatics research.

Dedicated Computing’s HPC cluster, built upon Intel Cluster Ready architecture, will provide a fully integrated and optimized cluster. From entry level, compact clusters, featuring four multi-core homogeneous nodes, to those with hundreds of heterogeneous computing nodes, and combined with 20 Terabytes to multiple petabytes of object store, these scalable solutions will be able to support the massive amounts of data that need to be analyzed, interpreted and stored.

These integrated cluster solutions contain securely maintained open source software stacks and cluster management designed to accelerate time-to-market, minimize costly validation and verification and enable 24/7/365 system monitoring for increased uptime.

“Working together, we can deliver leading edge HPC clustering technology tailored to life sciences research applications like genome analysis that will soon lead to personalized medicine,” said Jeff Durst, director, healthcare and life science solutions, Dedicated Computing.

“Participation in the Intel Cluster Ready program makes it easier and faster to realize the performance advantages of HPC clusters,” said Stephen Wheat, senior director for HPC Systems Solutions at Intel. “The assurance of application and component interoperability from the moment a cluster powers on is critical in the markets Dedicated Computing serves. We are excited to have Dedicated Computing join the program and look forward to working with them to help advance research and drive innovation in the Life Sciences market.”
