Society for Clinical Research Sites expands relationship with Acurian
The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), a Ellicott City, Md.-based global trade organization representing clinical research sites, has announced an expanded relationship with Acurian, a full-service provider of global patient enrollment and retention solutions and a subsidiary of PPD.
Acurian will initiate a Site Advocacy Group (SAG) focused on global patient recruitment and sponsor both the 2015 SCRS Eagle Award and Site Patient Recruitment Innovation Award (SPRIA). Acurian also will continue as a Global Impact Partner and sponsor of 2015 Good Business Practices and Good Clinical Practices webinars.
"SCRS is pleased to have Acurian's support for a number of important member programs," said Christine Pierre, SCRS president. "Acurian's commitment to promoting greater site sustainability across the clinical research landscape is directly aligned with SCRS' mission, and will enhance quality and efficiency in the conduct of clinical trials globally."
Todd Albin, Acurian's senior director of site enrollment optimization, said, "Acurian is committed to establishing and enhancing relationships with research sites throughout the world. We recognize SCRS as the leading organization to represent the interests of research sites worldwide, and we are excited about the expansion of our partnership."
As a Site Engagement Partner, Acurian will continue to participate on the SCRS global impact board at an executive level and work closely with SCRS' leadership council to determine strategic initiatives for SCRS.
