ERT reports rapid growth with Insights Cloud

September 21, 2015
CenterWatch Staff

ERT, a global provider of patient safety and efficacy endpoint data collection, cloud analytics and workflow solutions, has experienced record growth in its ERT Insights Cloud solution—a suite of data analytics visualization and workflow applications for use in pharmaceutical clinical development.

Since being released in April 2015, ERT Insights Cloud has been adopted by more than 20 pharmaceutical, biotechnology and CROs to improve the effectiveness of their clinical trials management and data surveillance strategies. New customer acquisitions represent midsize biotech organizations to five of the world’s top 15 pharmaceutical companies, and five of the top 10 CROs.

Insights Cloud is helping customers view safety and efficacy endpoint data collected via ERT’s electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA), respiratory and cardiac safety solutions within the context of their broader clinical trials data from central labs and EDC and IXR systems. By doing so, trial sponsors gain comprehensive insight into trial progress and risk indicators, which is critical for evaluating protocol compliance, site performance, and data quality issues. The platform’s decision-ready analytics drive workflow solutions that enable users to collaborate and ensure appropriate follow-up and intervention.

“We’ve been encouraged by the high level of interest in Insights Cloud from both existing and newly acquired customers,” said Amy Furlong, executive vice president, cardiac safety and eClinical insights solutions. “In addition to delivering intelligence across ERT endpoint solutions, we’ve seen an increase in customer collaborations to deploy our data analytics offering in innovative ways. From analytics that can detect potential fraud to centralized rater surveillance, our customers are using ERT Insights Cloud in a paradigm shift toward data-driven processes for clinical trials management.”

ERT Insights Cloud enables customers to aggregate and analyze data across clinical programs and drill into data trends and indicators. This capability has driven another trend: 60% of ERT’s customers that have deployed Insights Cloud have implemented the solution on a multi-study, clinical program or enterprise level to optimize and harmonize intelligence gathering.
