House Democrats launch Drug Pricing Task Force
Democrats in the U.S. House have formed an Affordable Drug Pricing Task Force to tackle meaningful action to combat the skyrocketing costs of pharmaceuticals.
Last week, the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation reported that 77% of Americans identified the increasing prices of prescription drugs as their top health concern.
Representatives involved include Elijah Cummings of Maryland, Lloyd Doggett of Texas, Jim McDermott of Washington state, Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, Jan Schakowsky of Illinois and Peter Welch of Vermont. Other members have yet to be determined.
