Agilent Technologies names Tang SVP, general counsel and secretary
Agilent Technologies, a Santa Clara-based life sciences, diagnostics and applied chemical markets provider, has announced the promotion of Michael Tang to senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective immediately.
Tang has served as Agilent vice president, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary, and he has been responsible for advising the board of directors and management team on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities matters. He served as interim secretary following the departure of former General Counsel Marie Oh Huber in April 2015. Tang was the lead attorney on Agilent’s spinoff of its electronic measurement business to form Keysight Technologies.
Prior to joining Agilent in 2006, Tang represented public and private technology companies in a broad range of corporate and securities matters at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, a Palo Alto, Calif. law firm, and Fenwick & West, a Mountain View, Calif. law firm.
