Biomedical Systems, a 40-year-old family-owned clinical trial provider to pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech and CROs, has opened its new Technology and Research Center in St. Louis, near the company’s global headquarters. The state-of-the-art 12,000-square-foot center houses more than 70 software developers, data technicians and business analysts. The center was designed to foster innovation and integration of new technology, in collaboration with customers, to improve efficiencies and ultimately help expedite pharmaceuticals and devices to patients.

“For more than 40 years, our business has been driven by the exceptional service and value we provide to our clients, who we view as family members,” said Ray Barrett, chairman, Biomedical Systems. “Our new Technology and Research Center provides the tools, technology and collaborative space necessary to develop new systems to meet our clients’ needs.”

The Technology and Research Center with its global data management system enables the company to scale its fast-growing business while maintaining quality, as it continues to accommodate the implementation of additional clinical trials.

“The new Technology and Research Center is dedicated to creating new and efficient ways to partner with pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech and CROs to develop innovative solutions aimed at reducing barriers in the collection of data in clinical trials,” said Jim Ott, chief technology officer, Biomedical Systems. “We are committed to helping our customers accelerate the execution of clinical trials, while maintaining quality data.”
