Synexus acquired by Jaguar Holding Company
Synexus, a multinational company specializing in recruiting for and managing later-stage clinical trials at its centers across the globe, has been purchased by Jaguar, a holding company of Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD). “Synexus will continue to operate under its own name as a separate business unit with its existing management team, which is great,” said Synexus CEO Christophe Berthoux.
EMA and FDA form working group on patient engagement
Patient engagement has been a hot topic in clinical research in recent years, and now it looks like regulators are finally catching up. Or trying to. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have launched a new “cluster” to focus on patient engagement. The group had its first meeting late last month.
