Mobile health picks up momentum

Wearable medical devices are not new, but the apps now available have made them much more affordable and accessible to a vast number of potential users. Mobile health apps have evolved to fill a gap in healthcare delivery, cut costs and increase access to both care and trials. But what is the reality of using apps in clinical research studies, or relying on the latest medical innovation? Apple and Google have made inroads in mo-bile health, but is technology one-size-fits-all?
