PAREXEL International, a global biopharmaceutical services provider, has announced that the company has been recognized among top U.S. businesses in Training magazine’s annual “Training Top 125.” This year marks the second time PAREXEL earned a place in the Training Top 125 for developing creative and effective learning and development initiatives for its global workforce.

“At PAREXEL, our employees are our core asset and give us our competitive edge. Developing their capabilities is a key component of our people strategy. From traditional instructor-led delivery to eLearning environments, PAREXEL provides best-in-class learning products and customized training programs,” said Albert Siu, vice president, Learning and Development, PAREXEL. “Our focus is to deliver the right training, to the right people, at the right time to ensure our employees are prepared to succeed in their jobs and careers. Having expertly trained employees around the globe is essential in helping our clients bring new drugs to patients.”

PAREXEL’s comprehensive learning and training programs encompass four primary learning domains including: company culture and strategy; functional competencies; leadership development; and professional development. The company’s Learning and Development organization is recognized for its effective and efficient training infrastructure. All delivered programs have a unique set of performance metrics to measure effectiveness across learning disciplines.

“PAREXEL impressed us with its training focus that aligns to the requirements and needs of the business, while offering employees valuable career and job skills development,” said Lorri Freifeld, editor-in-chief, Training magazine. “The competition was fierce this year, and PAREXEL’s global learning and development initiatives earned the Company this well-deserved spot in our 2017 ranking.”

In addition to training employees, PAREXEL is committed to developing the future, global biopharmaceutical workforce with courses specifically tailored to meet the growing talent needs of the clinical development market. Since 2001, the PAREXEL Academy has designed and implemented a wide range of learning and performance programs to teach clinical research management for learners outside of PAREXEL. The PAREXEL Academy has locations in Asia, Europe, and the United States. Since inception, more than 1,000 students have graduated from the Academy’s programs.

For more than 15 years, Training magazine, the leading business publication for learning and development professionals, has issued its annual “Training Top 125,” which ranks companies’ excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs. The rankings are based on myriad benchmarking statistics such as total training budget as a percentage of payroll; number of training hours invested per employee; training results based on evaluation and measurement of outcomes and business impact; and workplace survey results. In addition, a detailed and formal peer review evaluation process is conducted to determine the final ranking outcomes.
