BC Platforms, a provider of genomic data management solutions, will join the Microsoft AI in Health Partner Alliance, an expanding group of partners focused on advancing health technology. This initiative includes investments in resources for Microsoft partners to capture new opportunities to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to healthcare. As part of its participation, BC Platforms will receive unique training and access to Microsoft technologies, engineering expertise and data sets.

“BC Platforms is a leader in providing big data solutions for Healthcare and Life Science clients. In working with Microsoft, we are in a pole position to help our customers apply artificial intelligence to solve their challenges in healthcare. Our goal is to innovate to provide transformative solutions for our customers across all therapeutic areas along the product development life cycle,” said Tero Silvola, CEO at BC Platforms.

“With Microsoft, we have a possibility to build one of the world’s most powerful AI solution frameworks. We are now actively searching for university hospitals, biobanks and pharmaceutical companies to test and validate these new capabilities. We can only tackle AI challenges, large and small, by working together to solve real and concrete challenges in healthcare, explains Timo Kanninen, chief architect from BC Platforms.

“Systems of artificial intelligence will endemically transform the way we innovate and transform for improved outcomes, the way we optimise clinical and operational processes, and the way we think and do prevention. Our vision is to work with partners across the healthcare continuum to come up with ways to improve outcomes for patients. We look forward to working with BC Platforms in this exciting and transformative journey,” commented Elena Bonfiglioli, senior director, Health Industry, Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) at Microsoft.
