Eye on Alzheimer’s disease
Alzheimer’s, a progressive disease with worsening dementia symptoms, appears most often in elderly populations. It is estimated that there will be 74 million Americans over 65 by 2030. With Baby Boomers hitting age 65 and beyond, the number of Alzheimer’s disease cases is projected to escalate rapidly in the coming years. There are countless organizations dedicated to Alzheimer’s research, but with long-term care costs rising and few approved drugs, there is room in the market for additional growth in Alzheimer’s research.
