LabConnect named to Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private U.S. companies

LabConnect, a global provider of central laboratory and support services for biopharmaceutical, medical device and CROs, has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in America for its 10th year. This year, LabConnect’s 115.6% growth rate earned it a spot on the list. Only 100 companies—2%—have been on the list 10 times or more.

“According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are about 6 million private companies in the U.S., and every year we’re delighted to be among the 5,000 to make Inc.’s fastest growing list,” said Eric Hayashi, president and CEO of LabConnect. “It is an honor to be among this remarkable group, and we are especially pleased to join the group of just 100 companies named to the list for the 10 times or more.”

Founded in 2002, LabConnect comprises a network of global central laboratories with services including routine and esoteric laboratory testing, clinical kit building, sample management, biorepository and scientific operations support services for biopharmaceutical, medical device and contract research organizations around the world.

The Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period and requires they be U.S.-based, privately held and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. This prestigious list is known as a showcase of entrepreneurial leaders.

“I’m proud of being part of the Inc. 5000, but I’m especially proud of the LabConnect team and our ability to grow organically year after year while still maintaining the highest quality,” Hayashi said. “Growth is one thing, but it’s quality that leads to longevity.”
