Trial Information

Summary: Mount Sinai Medical Center is recruiting subjects with chronic myeloid leukemia who are in blast crisis, accelerated phase, or chronic phase to participate in a clinical study to determine the safety of an experimental drug.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are Male or female at least 18 years of age
  • Have chronic myeloid leukemia
  • Are resistant or intolerant to Imatinib (Standard treatment for this type of leukemia)

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have cancer that has spread to your central nervous system
  • Have heart disease or impaired heart function
  • Have acute liver or kidney disease unrelated to your tumor
  • Have participated in another research study within the last 4 weeks
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have any other clinically significant illnesses
  • Already know you are HIV positive. (HIV testing is not mandatory for this study)
  • Are currently receiving certain other treatments for your condition. The study doctor will determine if you are eligible.
