Trial Information
Summary: Mount Sinai Medical Center is recruiting subjects with chronic myeloid leukemia who are in blast crisis, accelerated phase, or chronic phase to participate in a clinical study to determine the safety of an experimental drug.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if
you:
- Are Male or female at least 18 years of age
- Have chronic myeloid leukemia
- Are resistant or intolerant to Imatinib (Standard treatment for
this type of leukemia)
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have cancer that has spread to your central nervous system
- Have heart disease or impaired heart function
- Have acute liver or kidney disease unrelated to your tumor
- Have participated in another research study within the last 4
weeks
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have any other clinically significant illnesses
- Already know you are HIV positive. (HIV testing is not
mandatory for this study)
- Are currently receiving certain other treatments for your
condition. The study doctor will determine if you are
eligible.
