Trial Information

Summary: Montefiore Medical Center is conducting a clinical study to assess the safety and efficacy of an experimental drug in men with advanced prostate cancer.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a male with cancer of the prostate and evidence of metastatic disease
  • Have adequate bone marrow, liver, and kidney function
  • Previous chemotherapy treatment and with one docetaxel based chemotherapy regimen

You will not qualify, if you:

  • Have small cell carcinoma of the prostate
  • Are currently being treated or were recently treated with chemotherapy or radiation therapy
  • Have other serious health conditions including heart problems, liver problems, or active infections
  • Are currently enrolled in another experimental treatment
  • Will not use adequate methods of birth control
