Trial Information

Summary: Mark Fisher MD, FACR, LLC is conducting a clinical research study (MLN-MD-03) with an investigational medication for the treatment of Fibromyalgia.

The medication has been used in other countries for another indication by 3 million people but is not currently approved for sale in the United States.

Some of the criteria for entry are:

  • 18-70 years inclusive
  • Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia
  • Willing to discontinue medications commonly used for Fibromyalgia that affect the central nervous system, including anti-depressants, anti-convulsants, narcotics, and mood stabilizers
  • Willing to attend 9-11 visits to a doctor's office over a period of approximately 21-27 weeks

Patients who participate in this clinical trial will receive study-related visits, procedures, and study drug at no cost. Participants who successfully complete the initial study may be eligible to participate in an extension study, and receive additional therapy with the study drug milnacipran. The study drug is in the form of capsules taken twice a day.
