Trial Information
Summary: Prostate Cancer Study
The denosumab 20050147 study is a clinical trial that is
investigating the effectiveness of the study drug, in possibly
delaying the spread of cancer to your bones. The study will include
about 1400 subjects in North America, South America, Europe,
Australia, and New Zealand.
Men may be eligible to enroll in the denosumab 20050147 study if
they have:
- Prostate cancer
- undergone a bilateral orchlectomy (removal of the testicles) or
are being treated with hormone therapy
- a rising PSA (prostate specific antigen)
- not been taking oral disphosphonates for more than 3 months.
All participants in the Denosumab 20050147 study will receive
close medical supervision and ongoing assessments of their medical
condition. This includes study related blood tests, bone scans, and
x-rays at no cost. Study participants will also receive calcium and
vitamin D supplements.
Even if the Denosumab 20050147 study ends up providing you with
no direct benefit, your participation may benefit others, including
people with prostate cancer, by increasing our understanding of
bone metastasis.
