Summary: Heart Disease and Abnormal Cholesterol Study

Adults ages 45 or older with a history of heart disease, vascular disease or abnormal cholesterol levels are needed for a study looking at the effect of adding extended release niacin to simvastatin (ZocorŪ). Researchers what to know if this investigational drug combination is effective in reducing the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other heart related complications. Participants will undergo a physical exam, EKG, and blood tests. Study medication and study-related tests are provided at no charge.
