Summary: Registry Study for Patients Taking Hectorol ®

People with stage 3 and 4 chronic kidney disease are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Montefiore Medical Center. Information will be collected during the normal course of treatment with Hectorol. The purpose of this project is to learn how to best treat secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are male or female at least 18 years of age
  • Have stage 3 or 4 chronic kidney disease
  • Are beginning treatment with Hectorol ® capsules

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have used Hectorol ® in the past
  • Are pregnant
