Summary: SWOG S0325: A Phase IIB Study of Molecular Responses to Imatinib at Standard or Increased Doses for Previously Untreated Patients with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in Chronic Phase
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have untreated Philadelphia chromosome positive Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) that is in chronic phase (CP). The purpose of this study is to learn if the higher dose of imatinib is better than and just as safe as the standard dose in treating CML. Your participation in this study is expected to last 12 months for treatment and approximately 1 year for follow-up.
