Trial Information
Summary: Do you have a fear of heights and live within commuting distance of New York City? We are doing a study to help people with these fears.
Do climbing ladders, looking out the window of tall buildings,
or walking over bridges make you uncomfortable? If your fear or
avoidance of heights interferes with your day-to-day activities,
you may be suffering from a phobia.
The purpose of our study is to see if medication is helpful in
height phobia. We are offering free evaluation and research
treatment to eligible individuals.
Eligibility for participation in the study
requires:
- Height phobia
- Ages 18-65 years old
- Willingness to commute to our center on a regular basis for 12
weeks
- Physically healthy without any major medical problems
