Summary: A double-blind, placebo controlled, randomized, parallel group clinical trials of an investigational medication in patients with moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis vulgaris.

Inclusion Criteria:

• Men and women 18 years and up
• A diagnosis of moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis
• Patients not adequately responding to topical treatment
• Signed informed consent form
• No treatment UV radiation, etretinate, methotrexate, sulfasalazine, cyclosporine for 4 weeks
• No topical treatment for 2 weeks
• Prior treatment with anti CD4 antibodies
• Acute illness or infection
• Poorly controlled hypertension
• Positive PPD skin test
