Summary: SWOG 9346: Intermittent Androgen Deprivation in Patients with Stage D2 Prostate Cancer, Phase III
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the use of a drug called Zoladex in combination with an anti-androgen drug called Casodex in patients with advanced prostate cancer. Additional purposes are to determine the side effects of this treatment, how often they occur, and the quality of life for subjects on this treatment.
Patient Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria:
- At least 18 years of age - Diagnosed with Stage D2 prostate cancer - No prior bilateral orchiectomy (surgical removal of both testicles)
