Trial Information

Summary: Treatment research study for advanced non-small cell lung cancer

Non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (known as metastasis) is often treated with a combination of chemotherapy drugs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a drug that is not a traditional chemotherapy drug, but rather is meant to enhance the effectiveness of other standard chemotherapy treatments. This study will evaluate whether this investigational drug can improve the effectiveness of a chemotherapy regimen consisting of cisplatin and vinorelbine, a commonly used combination for advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

A physician participating in the study will determine eligibility, but if you meet the following criteria, you may qualify for this study:

  • Stage IIIb or Stage IV.NSCLC (advanced disease)
  • No evidence of brain metastasis
  • No prior chemotherapy for advanced disease
  • No treatment with any investigational drug or radiation within 30 days prior to beginning treatment with study drug
  • Must be inoperable disease (not curable with surgery)

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and are interested in participating in this study, please call toll free.
