Summary: A clinical research trial is underway evaluating the effectiveness of an investigational medication in the hope that it will improve the memory and other cognitive functions of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
A six-month double-blind, placebo-controlled trial evaluating the investigational medication in people with Alzheimer’s disease who are only taking a medication called Aricept® (donepezil) for their Alzheimer’s disease.

Your loved one may qualify if he or she:
- Is between 50 and 90 years old
- Has a diagnosis of probable Alzheimer’s disease
- Has been on a stable dose of Aricept® (donepezil) for Alzheimer’s disease for at least three months
- Has no history of cancer within the past three years
- Is able to attend all office visits
- Lives with, or spends substantial periods of time with, a regular caregiver who is willing to attend all trial visits, oversee compliance, and report on the loved one’s status
