Summary: Research study of an investigational medication for Alzheimer's Disease
A phase 2, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an investigational drug as monotherapy in subjects with Alzheimer's Disease.
Length of study: Approximately 34 weeks.
Number of office visits: 11
At no cost, qualified participants receive study related:
- Study medication
- Diagnostic and laboratory evaluations
- CT/MRI scan, if applicable
- Compensation for time and travel
This study is not available if any of the following applies to the patient:
- Cannot fluently read and speak English.
- Is less than 50 years old.
- Is not on a stable dose of Aricept.
- Does not have a reliable caregiver.
- Has serious health problems other than Alzheimer's disease.
