Summary: A Phase I Study of the Combination of Radiation Therapy (RT), Arsenic Trioxide (ATO) and Temozolomide (TMZ) in Patients with Newly-Diagnosed Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM)
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have been recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor called a glioblastoma (GBM). The purpose of this study is to find the highest dose of arsenic trioxide (ATO) that can be given in combination with temozolomide (TMZ) and radiation therapy (RT) without causing unmanageable side effects and to learn what side effects that this therapy may cause. Your treatment in this study is expected to last about 6 weeks. Afterwards, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely.
