Trial Information
Summary: If you've had surgery for stress incontinence and are not satisfied with the results…
For many patients, surgery is the best option for a cure from SUI. However, an increasing number of women have experienced less than optimal surgical outcomes leaving them with ongoing incontinence symptoms. If you are one of these women, we invite you to participate in our clinical research study.
A non-surgical treatment called Renessa® is now being evaluated in women who continue to experience incontinence symptoms after SUI surgery. The Renessa treatment uses a small device to deliver controlled low temperature heat to very small tissue sites at the base of the bladder and urethra. The heat causes the collagen in the tissue to undergo a structural change, called "denaturation." After treatment, the restructured collagen causes the surrounding tissue to become firmer, which may result in greater resistance to leaks.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Leak urine when you laugh, cough, sneeze or are involved in physical activity
- Had previous surgery for incontinence
- Are able to complete the required 36 month study follow-up
