Trial Information
Summary: An Open-Label , Single-Arm Phase II Study of RAD001 in Patients with Refractory Mantle Cell Lymphoma
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have a cancer of the lymph nodes called mantle cell lymphoma which is refractory (has worsened despite treatment). The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if the study drug RAD001 can slow the progression of cancer. The harmful effects of RAD001 will also be studied. Evaluating functional status (ability to do everyday activities), symptoms, the changes in the size of the tumor and laboratory results obtained while the study drug is being given will help the research team determine if RAD001 is safe and effective in treating mantle cell lymphoma. Repeated blood samples will be taken before and after the first dose of RAD001 to study the levels of drug that stay in the body over time. Your treatment on this study is expected to last for as long as your lymphoma is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely.
