Summary: A Translational Breast Cancer Prevention Trial of Mushroom Powder in Postmenopausal Breast Cancer Survivors

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you are a postmenopausal woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer more than five years ago and have completed cancer treatment at least six months ago. The purpose of this study is to determine whether white button mushroom extract lowers estrogen levels in postmenopausal women who are breast cancer survivors and, if so, which dose(s) is/are the most effective at lowering estrogen levels. Another purpose is to measure the safety and tolerability of white button mushroom extract by collecting information on side effects using questionnaires. Your participation in this study is expected to last about 4 months.
