Trial Information

Summary: PHI-58 NCI# 7943:Phase I Study of GX15-070 (NSC #729280) and Bortezomib in Aggressive Relapsed/Recurrent Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have lymphoma that has relapsed (returned after initially responding to chemotherapy) after at least one standard treatment or is refractory (has failed to respond to standard therapy). In addition, there is no standard therapy of curative intent available to treat your lymphoma. The purpose of this study is to determine the highest dose of the investigational drug GX15-070 (obatoclax mesylate) and the highest dose of VELCADE (bortezomib) that can be given in combination without causing unmanageable side effects. Another purpose of this study is to evaluate the side effects and effectiveness of treatment with the combination of VELCADE and GX15-070. Your participation in this study is expected to last at least thirty-five days (one cycle of treatment). If you are tolerating treatment and your medical condition is not getting worse, you will be able to receive additional cycles of treatment up to one year. After you discontinue treatment, your medical condition will continue to be followed for 26 weeks.
