Summary: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus and Implications for Cardiovascular Disease Risk
Do you want to know how your pregnancy, blood sugar, and heart are related?
The Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Hypertension Division of Brigham and Women’s Hospital seeks healthy Black women 18-40 years old who have had normal pregnancies or pregnancies complicated by diabetes in the past 5 years for a research study on diabetes during pregnancy and its effects on heart disease risk. The research study includes an oral glucose tolerance test, fasting blood tests and a non-invasive blood vessel study. Participants cannot be currently pregnant or nursing.
Takes about 5 hours. Payment for participation is $100.
