Trial Information
Summary: Parkinson’s Disease with Motor Fluctuations - Adults
People with Parkinson’s disease with motor fluctuations are
asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Enrico
A. Fazzini, DO, PhD.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if
you:
- Are at least 30 years of age or older
- Have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and motor
fluctuations
- Have been on stable treatment with L-dopa for at least 28
days

You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have severely impaired movements during the waking day
- Have had an unclear diagnosis or a suspicion that other
parkinsonian syndromes exists, such as secondary parkinsonism
(caused by drugs, toxins, infectious agents, vascular disease,
trauma, brain neoplasm), Parkinson-plus syndromes (e.g., multiple
system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy) or
heredodegenerative diseases
- Have had surgery for PD or any other brain surgery
- Have had previous treatment with dopamine agonists and it
needed to be terminated within the last year because of it brought
on hallucinations, psychosis, intolerable somnolence, impulse
control disorder and/or any other side effect that has led to
discontinuation
- Are currently diagnosed or have a history of drug and alcohol
abuse
- Have a history of hallucinations, psychosis and/or treatment
with antipsychotics for any indication within a year
- Have seizure disorder or are taking treatments with
anti-convulsants for any indication
- Have uncontrolled insulin dependent diabetes
- Have a history of cancer or any heart conditions
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant
during the study
- Have participated in another research study within the last 30
days
