Summary: Clinical trial to test a study drug in people with HIV-1

The main purpose of the study is to investigate whether or not the study drug works well in reducing the amount of HIV-1 virus in blood.

Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at no cost.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have HIV-1 infection
  • Have never received treatment for your HIV-1 infection

You will not qualify if you:

  • Are pregnant or breast-feeding
  • Any previous treatment with HIV vaccines or use of AVR’s
  • Any documented HIV-2 infection
  • Have active tuberculosis
  • Have participated in an experimental drug or experimental vaccine within the last 90 days
