Trial Information
Summary: CA180114: A Phase II Clinical Trial of Dasatinib in Patients with Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have cancer of the pancreas that cannot be cured by surgery. The purpose of this study is to determine the activity of dasatinib in subjects with pancreas cancer who have not been previously treated with chemotherapy. Tumor response (cancer staying the same or shrinking), quality of life and side effects will be evaluated. Researchers will also take blood samples to look for tumor characteristics that might help identify subjects who might respond to dasatinib. Your treatment on this study is expected to last for as long as your cancer is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely.
